Listed Cottage Extension

My clients owned this listed stone cottage in Cherwell District Council, the ground floor layout of the house didn’t include a toilet or any form of utility or boot room, both of which my clients very much needed. We obtained consent to construct a mono-pitch side extension using stone work carefully sought to match existing. The proposal included setting into the ground due to raising ground levels, and creating a damp proof protection within the wall construction. The new openings formed within the existing listed stone wall provided access into the extension from the kitchen. A new kitchen was then also incorporated.
